Description : Thought up by Sopima S.A., designed by architect’s office Cerau and carried out between December 1998 and September 2000, this project involved the complete renovation of a monumental building originally built in the 20s according to the plans of architect E. Jaspar. Initially designed as a block of flats, this impressive and eclectic building housed the Department of Justice for several decades. Unsuited to the needs of administrative work, the Poelaert building was completely emptied and modernised; it now accommodates the Labour Tribunal and Court of First Instance.
Technicalities : This building is fitted out with the most up-to-date techniques: air-conditioning, false ceilings with recessed luminaries, etc.
Access : This building is ideally situated since it is within reach of the Brussels inner ring road (only 100 yards away), of Metro Louise Station and the trams 91-92-93-94 stops. Furthermore the Midi Station and the Central Station are only five minutes away.
